A different 4th of July

I am so thankful I was raised by a mother who instilled in me the value of people. Having lived in Los Angeles and in Texas most of my life, I've seen many different folks in action. Many jerks and a-holes, it's not limited to ethnic nor religious persuasion. The most common denominator is lack of education . . . There's an abundance of stupid people doing stupid things in this world, I just wish they would have to travel in other people's shoes. . . We, who are WASPs, just don't understand nor have the empathy needed to understand the pain words can inflict upon people.
